It's a beautiful time of the year in the Midwest- 93 at 11:00 am so I leave my window cracked for 10 minutes when I run into the grocery store and I'm greeted to this when I get back:

Cicadas are everywhere!

Yes welcome to the Midwest summer, after the most miserable winter in memory. It's now like 35.4 C outside and humid. And soon we in N IL will have the Cicadas and there song. Enjoy we will be back in the deep freezer all too soon.

I should go out and check, my window is open right now.....

After spending a week in Vancouver area, I hate the MI terrain and weather....more so...

I literally can't hear sometimes when they are singing, its unreal.

I did check my open window car yesterday. No cicada, but lots of dandelion fluff....
