Where was the diff on sale at?.
It was a group buy done last year I believe through Pure Motorsports.
did you also need to buy bearings or just the bolt kit?
Got bearings through VW dealership, the bolt kit was included with the group buy .

Wow sorry I haven't responded to this thread in a long time....
I am still enjoying this clutch and LSD. Won my class racing this season and have also done plenty of track days on the combo - no issues.
I never found anyone locally with the Southbend silent, I stopped looking after the one guy I knew sold his.... I barely notice it anymore, you get used to the change of sound.
I chose this LSD because it was on sale and I had heard good things about from others on various other car forums
Your LSD review has me really considering one. What kind of tires did you run with the LSD? I used Nitto NT-01s, 225/40/17 last summer but still had trouble putting the power down comming out of certain corners. This summer, I plan on stepping up to Hoosier 245/40/17 or BFG R1s 235/40/17. With tires that sticky, I am wondering whether a mechanical LSD will make much of a significant difference over the XDS. In NASA TT, an LSD would cost me 3 pts and I could use those points on some other things (e.g., BBK 2pts or XB brace 3 pts). Your thoughts?
how much did they quote you for both installed? i spoke to the main aftermarket vw shop and they said 570 just for the clutch, and for an lsd they'd have to send it out to another shop. i was kind of thinking of just going to a transmission specialist and seeing what kind of deal they could offer
Got a VW tech from the local VW dealer that's going to do the clutch, LSD, USP Motorsport shift forks, & Forge short shifter for $500.

that is an absolute steal, make sure USP sends you the new Transmission seal/cap. At the same time make sure you replace the throw out bearing, TRUST ME on this, it's insurance.
That's nuts! He is aware that the ring gear will have to drilled and tapped to install on the diff right?.
