A work of art, similar to its brother the GTI. Congratulations on your purchase, may you enjoy many rides with it in good health!

Sweet ride!

Am I the only one that prefers the GTI interior to the R? I'd much rather have the brushed aluminum with red stitching than the black with grey stitching.

I was just thinking that. I too like the Red stitch to be more contrasting than the blue. The steering wheel at quick glance looks like a Golf if you happen to not notice the flat bottom. Otherwise, I like the LED tail lights and AWD is an icing to cake given the GTI dynamics.

Yeah, definitely LED tails, front bumper, AWD, and all the rest make the R far superior.

Actually one more thing. I also don't prefer the twin pipes in the centre. Looks weird to me.

Is the stitching on the R blue? Or Grey? It seemed grey in the pic. Isn't the GTD's stitching also grey?

It should be blue stitching, but you're right they do seem greyish. All the R's I've seen at the dealership have blue stitching.

Hey thanks for the info. Yeah you are right. My GTI is around MYR212,000 on the road here, which works out to be USD66,500.

Oh well, still am happy with my GTI . If I should be around Brunei any time soon will keep an eye out for you, since there are only 4 Golf R in Brunei

Quite true. This is also why a lot of options that are available on the GTI's here are not even considered across the pond... $$$$.

Relax, they have NOT said that the Golf R won't come here! They are playing the game in their favor to sell the rest of the VW's for now. Their not stupid!!!

Please make sense of all this! Why would they not bring over the Golf R to replace the R32? Duh? Sheer stupidity! Gotta have a high performance AWD replacement. What car company would leave such a VOID in the car market?
Answer: none with a brain! It will come... we all need to relax and wait. I am!
