I don't doubt they dumped a ton of money into it, but they're crazy if they think there's enough demand to justify a $70K price tag for a well-used, highly modified car that was never really that desirable to begin with.

if i had 49k to spend on a car I would save a bit more and buy a new unmolested ttrs, they sell at around 55-59k i think

In fact, I think VW made a mistake putting the R on the market @$36k+. They should have dropped the GTI Autobahn down to $28k, and put the R on the market for $31. They'd be selling like hot cakes if they did!

That's pretty much what they're going for after negotiation.

Nope that's a stage 2 intake, APR has a bigger MAF housing for stage 3.

But IF it ACTUALLY was full stage 3 plus the suspension and wheels that would be close to $15k in parts, plus labor there's at least $20k.

Dealer must be smoking the same crack as Mayor Ford.
