Funny enough I am gonna change my workout routine and plan on dropping 20lbs myself. Listen guys, a lot of people are oooing and aahing at the fact that the mk7 is gonna be a bit lighter. If I don't use my AC, or my rear seats, and I have aaa to tow me (x out the spare) why keep the stuff in there. I mean come on, racekar.

AC condenser+compressor + piping... prob about 30lbs tops.

But I think you should consider chopping off an arm. Its a much cleaner weight saving.

AC removal = free
Carbon fiber stuff = expensive
Lightweight wheel setup = expensive
Free = good
Get it?

You don't think it will hurt your resale if you decide not to put it back or break shit ?
And you also need to add a custom pulley where the compressor sat. And then you need to refill the system when you're done and don't fuck anything up.

You could remove all seats/spare for free and that would save you more weight 100lbs and it would be faster to do so.

You can also remove the hood for free

The point of this thread was to determine if it was worth it to take the system out. After all the input, it doesn't seem worth it. Thank you to those of you who took me seriously and gave good information.
