Scary grinding noise when starting.

Ugh well Sunday BEFORE my track day my car did the grinding sound and wouldn't start. I let it sit for a couple minutes and tried again. Started. Did my whole track day without problems and I haven't had it come up again....but two problems within a week is scaring me.

Talk to VW service, hopefully if can be duplicated there, i'd be concerned too.

Ok that does not sound good.

My start up grinding hasn't happened since that track day. I told my service rep about it and he just said to let him know if it happens again.

Your noise sounds like something different and no bueno.
