2011 gti ticking/rattle

I have a 2011 gti 6mt with about 69k on the odo. I noticed a rattle/ticking noise coming from the engine bay. I cant seem to track it down. It only happens between 2k and 3k and only when the throttle is barely opened. The chain tensioner has been replaced with the most recent version as well as the waterpump and intake manifold. It isnt tuned and the only mod is the cbe.

I thought the problem could be the wastegate rattle so I installed the clip but it didnt stop the sound.

Its a very consistent sound that goes away when more throttle is applied.
to me it sounds like more than just the regular direct injection sound because i don't hear it at idle.

I have the exact same rattle, with the same symptoms. I noticed its louder in Colder weather. Took it to the dealer and they insist they are unable to hear it. Hope somebody has a solution for this

Yep, mine is louder in colder weather as well.

Just updating a little bit in case anyone has any ideas. It was particularly cold today and the rattle sound was much more noticeable.

I have noticed that the sound goes away completely when the engine is under load.

Im completely lost as to what it could be.
