I have a Tiguan which received a flat tire this morning and it is not repairable due to sidewall damage. I plan on buying a new tire (DWS Continental) which has 10/32nd tread depth when new but the other 3 tires have just over 8/32nd. Will this cause excessive heat in the differential and should I buy two new tires and place them upfront?...I'm on the fence because I think the tread depths would be close enough that it won't be an issue (my local mechanic agrees too). What are your thoughts?
