When you set it it's key on engine off. Once you start the car cruise works like normal.

I know how to set it, I'm saying after I set it, if I turned the cruise to off it won't affect anything right?

Test it and see what happens. As far as I know though, the only thing that will change the program is going back into programming mode or disconnecting the battery/loss of power to the ecu...

Set it and forget it.

Cruise control operates just like normal when you turn the car on.

Turning it on or off doesn't alter programming.

There are only 2 ways the vehicle will not be in the programming you left it in...

#1 YOU change it

#2 The Battery Dies In The vehicle, and the ECU gets kicked back to the stock programming.
