Have just sold my 325xi e91. Thinking about Golf R - idk why, but I love this car. But as you know Bmw is Bmw - comfort premium car. The new 3er estate is coming next fall. So I need a car for 2 years. Has anyone switched like that? From bmw to vw? Don't you feel any regrets?
We have a E91 325xiT for my wife. It's different than my GTI and it would be hard to compare apples to apples. The N52B30 is a peach, smoother than the S52B32 in my M coupe. Had my TSI tuned by REVO stage 2 file and although it was fast, E91 has qualities I like. Mainly it's ability as a grand tourer. I recently detuned my GTI back to stock to enjoy the balance of HP and handling. It's my park & ride station car.
