Flashing glow plug light

Hi all as the title says this is a question about the glow plug light on the dash flashing when driving with a ! At the bottom of the mfd where your miles would be. There is no loss of power or anything else just the light flashing. If yu stop the car and switch it off then back on it goes out. What is causing this?
Isit just a glow plug on the way out or something more worse?

I had that on mine..... It ended up being the egt temp sensor pre turbine( before turbo) easy repair if no dpf..... If dpf is still on its a bit tricker as the dpf is in the way
