I'm working on my CCTA engine right now. From everything that i have done the cam bridge is located on the top end of the engine. That means you won't need to do anything with the bottom end. No removal of lower cover. just the upper which is just 5 T30/10mm bolts.

You will need a special tool to remove the inner bolt on the intake camshaft. its left threaded meaning that you will turn the bolt right to loosen it as opposed to the lefty loosey. once that is removed you will remove the torx bolts which are T30 as well. i think they're about 5 bolts.

You may have to remove the engine mount bracket to get to the lower bolts on the upper timing cover.

You won't have to lock the timing in any way since the chain is already mounted on the sprockets. when removing the cam bridge it does not interfere with anything. depending on how tight the inner bolt is it may move the camshaft and crankshaft as if you were turning it by hand. you won't cause any issues or damage.
