Anyone know of a "How-To" on front brake pad replacement?

Taking my MK6 to the track so i'll be swapping in some Hawk + pads and new fluids. I'm an expert in BMW brakes but never worked on a VW before. Any special tools I need to pickup? So far it looks like I know how to get the wheels off and jack up the car so I'm mostly concerned with the calipers and pads themselves.
