I used to have one. On an unexpected note, it was more optioned than the Cobalts. Power everything, XM/MP3/iPod standard.

Mine was a 2.4L mated to a 4-Speed Slushbox. Put down 151whp and 145wtq.

Mods were:
K&N Intake
SLP Loudmouth II Catback
Pedders Race Springs
Cobalt SS/TC Struts/Shocks
Powell RaceShop 1'' RSB
Tint
Cobalt SS Front Lip
HID's

Last pic I ever took of her... and the last I ever took with my crappy Sony Point & Shoot.

Crank that ISO setting down - 3200 and 6400 just leave you with crazy pixel artifacts when looking at it at any size. Clarity will go way up if you shoot at 100-200. Tripod might help if you are into low light stuff since you will need to bump up exposure time with lower ISOs. Great work though!

Yeah, I know. That was shot in aperture priority mode.

Normally I shoot around 100.

Stocktastic...if only you lived closer to Charlotte. I would love to have you "shoot up" some pics of my GTI.

Great photos!

I think upping the exposure a bit on some of the picture would make them look even better :)

Great thread. I had been thinking about starting one like this for people interested in photography. I don't have much to add (I'm just getting into photography) but here are a couple I took with my Canon 60d and 50mm 1.8 lens:

Shot wide-open, surprised at lack of background blur:

Going for dramatic look:

I'll see if I can take more when my workload lightens, hopefully with better quality pics.

One of these days, we'll have to make that happen!

@Swift Those 2 pictures, especially the second one, are very wide shots. Thats why you wont get as much depth of field. Try shooting closer to the subject and you'll see the depth of field kick in.

@Stocktastic Holy closed iris batman! Open up that thing bro! It doesnt really benefit you in any way, aside from having everything in focus (which you dont really want most of the time anyways) With the aperture down, you're gonna have more light enter your camera, allowing yourself to also drop down that ISO.

Oh and another tip, dont put anything in automatic, M mode will make you learn faster :D

Holy Archive find!

Found an entire folder of photos taken with my buddy's D70... TWO YEARS AGO.

I knew a lot about photography, but NOTHING about DSLRs.

Lightroom helped me tremendously with these, but there is still tons of noise.

These were all shot in JPEG Fine. I have shot in RAW for the last year or so.

Pretty horrible, IMO, but I edited and posted.

Shows improvement, if nothing else.
