Hello everyone:
I've lurked here for a while, but I finally made an account because I'm having a little trouble with my automatic headlight modification and I'm not sure what to do next...
I just bought my 2013 Candy White GTI about four months ago (with only 10,000 miles!), and absolutely loving it. However, the headlight switch was broken when I bought it (front plate was cracked somehow and the gray trim missing), so I figured since I had to replace that anyway, a quick easy mod would be to install a Euro switch.
So, shopping around, I found this Automatic Headlight Conversion kit from UroTuning -- comes with a full euro switch, auto sensor, and trigger wire: https://www.urotuning.com/Automatic-Headlight-Conversion-Kit-Mk6-Golf-JSW-p/mk6_auto_switch_kit.htm
I'm not the most flexible person so installing the trigger wire was kinda a pain, but otherwise the install went great. I purchased a RossTech cable/license and coded the DRLs off, and the switch works as intended. I mostly keep it on DRL+Fog, which is just dirty imo:

Anyway, I may have messed up the Vagcom coding, and I'm not sure what exactly I did wrong, so I'm hoping I could get some help:
If I leave the switch in Auto mode, and either lock or unlock the car, all lights around the car will flash 7 times. Sometimes this doesn't happen at all, but a majority of the time this will occur. I made a video of this happening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqTzj1-4fEw
This happens regardless of if I code coming home or leaving home on/off. I have them on right now, but they don't work either. That's more of a secondary problem though.
