MDI retrofit kit vs factory fitted AUX in

Hi everyone, please help me to figure out how to make both MDI and AUX-in work together. I installed a MDI retrofit kit into my 2011 Golf with RCD-310. It has a factory fitted 3.5 AUX in. And AUX stopped working (no sound, just a bit of noise on max volume). I tried to disable the AUX input from the radio menu. After that I can't get it back. AUX is enabled in settings, but no "AUX" in the "media" menu.

Ok, never mind. It turned out that you can't use AUX if there is a device connected to MDI. After I removed a USB stick from the MDI port I was able to use AUX.
