1 liter of oil on 900 miles?

Is it normal that my Golf R uses 1 liter of oil on 900 miles?

Its a APR stage 2+

Acceptable by VW standards, yes....normal? No.

Not normal. Spec is 1 qt per 1200 miles. a liter is MORE than a quart.


Unless you are not being accurate you have a problem. If there are no leaks you may have a faulty breather valve or faulty piston rings. If you track your car daily then it's normal.
