USED wheel finds

Go Kart Champion
I'm starting this thread for people looking to save money buying used wheels. These will be lesser known outside of the normal forum brands VMR, Neuspeed, TSW, Varrstoen, Konig, etc. Not knocking any of these brands just offering options. I figured I would share the information for guys that might be interested.

Do your own homework for fitment, so don't ask if this will fit your car, stretching tires or how many degrees of camber -there millions of threads dedicated to that.

These wheels will need varying levels of work:
-redrill
-fender-work
-stretched tires
-camber (plates, rear arms)
-rebuilt/refinish

If any of these are a yes this is not the thread for you
-only want 5x112
-won't run spacers
-won't run wheel adapters
-won't run wobble bolts
-call anything non-euro RICE

Stock specs
Detroits: 18x7.5 +51
Tires:225/40/18

If there is enough interest I'll update this thread from time to time as I come across more interesting wheels.

I swear these are Panasports. Maybe Rays was making them at some point or vice versa.

RAYS SUPER XIPHOS
17X8 +45, 17X8.5 +45, 5X114.3
$1,500.00

I like these because I'm running the same wheel in a different spec.
http://wheelflip.com/listing/1865/ssr-type-c-17x75-42-17x95-42-5x1143/

SSR TYPE C
17X7.5 +42, 17X9.5 +42, 5X114.3
$1,400.00

I had these exact wheels in the same specs. It's a nice pickup if you can get the seller down a little on price.
http://wheelflip.com/listing/1928/work-11r-17x9-38-5x1143/

WORK 11R
17X9 +38, 5X114.3
$1,400.00

These are on the extreme end of fitment but with a redrill these would be my pick. There's another set of 18" RF's selling for almost double this price.
http://wheelflip.com/listing/1960/bbs-rf-17x85-13-17x9-17-5x120/

BBS RF
17X8.5 +13, 17X9 +17, 5X120
$1,750.00

These 'fit' but 10.5" in the rear and that price
http://wheelflip.com/listing/1954/bbs-rs-18x95-24-18x105-11-5x112/

BBS RS
18X9.5 +24, 18X10.5 +11, 5X112
$3,850.00

I've always liked these wheels. I had a set of 16" Type CX's back before Blitz used to sell more than 1 wheel model. These have been rebuilt. The price is a little high $1,800 to 2,000 would be more realistic.
http://apt9wheels.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=68_74&product_id=54

Blitz Type 01
17X9, +22, 5 X 114.3
$2,200.00

Specs are decent on these, will need to be refinished though. Old school Advans.

Advan Oni
17x8+25

Thanks I'm glad there are people on the forum that would appreciate this. We have more than a few folks here who lurk on other forums, hopefully they will jump in and start posting their finds as well.

Called it! Haha same wheels and seller $1,800 picked up. I remember Apt9 had a few sets of these might be worth contacting about pricing.

You know the wheels we traded with tires was more everything in this thread minus the re-lipped RS' granted most don't come with tires.

I would rather pay $1,500+ for quality used wheels rather than $1,000-1,200 new for the usual. Anything over $2,500 new is where expensive starts, they are much harder to sell later on even though the depreciation will have already been taken out. I'll try to post a variety of price points for different budgets.

These wheels aren't the heavier cast Emotions/Extremes that Work sells. These are the lighter forged version probably 15.5-16lbs/each
http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65320

FORGED Work Emotions
17x7.5, 8.5 +40, 5x114.3
$1,200 w/tires
$1,000 w/o

If the seller comes down a little to $2K or less this is a decent deal. The finish is a little rough most likely from installing and removing multiple sets of tires and a ton of brake dust.

Volk Racing RE30 Time Attack
18x9 +35, 5x114.3
$2,200.00

Not normally my taste, but these wheels are beautiful. I'm sure photographer's skill is influencing my opinion. No refinishing needed.

O.Z RACING AERO III AMG
17x8.5, 10 +19, 5x112 enlarged to 5x120
$2,150.00

The lips and faces look like their in great condition. Not sure about BBK clearance but this is almost the perfect staggered setup. There was a similar setup that sold for a lot more last year.

BBS Impul
$1,800.00
18x8+32
18x9+38
5x114.3

Aggressive rears for a staggered setup. The high rear offset should help tuck the tires. Two wheels have been curbed but it doesn't look too bad, the price makes these a decent pick-up.

The condition on these look pretty good, doesn't look like they have been refinished yet. The set looks complete with the center-caps. These are priced right for an older wheel and considering the excellent condition. There is some light oxidation on the inner barrels but nothing that would stop me from buying.

Rear 17x9 +38

205/45 Nitto Neo Gens

I was close to pulling the trigger on these but I had something else that ate up the funds last minute. Lots of custom details, 42DD center caps, "Crismson" on each of the bolts, rebuilt to +1" step lips, and should cleark a BBK. I would contact the seller, these have been on sale for a while so I think there's some flexibility there.

Look really bad, as in within 4mm of stock Detroits? These particular wheels aren't for the hellaflush crowd. Spacers, just saying.
