I've noticed the vancouvers are much more popular on the GT than the bilbaos I have ordered a white GT with bilbaos as i think they look better than the vancouvers but only on white really...any other opinions? also any pics of bilbao alloys would be appreciated!

Personal view on the Lord of the the Rings sounding rims *I joke :p* they are nice but a tad over priced. If you take a look at my post about the GTD it is equipped with the Vancouver's and I have to say they look very classy. I have seen a few Bilbao's around the dealership but I didn't take any pictures. All the Highlines that I've seen on the streets have the Vancouver's, aside from a few here and there. IIRC the GTD's wheels come as Bilbao's as an optioned upgrade to 18" wheels, standard's are Vancouver.

Edit: Sorry, my mistake I thought that Bilbao's were the upgraded rim choice, in fact they are the Seattle set. Sorry for the semi-threat hijack :/

I think the Vancouvers look great.

Even though they feature heavily in promotional material for the MK6 in Australia, for some inexplicable reason, they're not available "down under". What a shame. :paddle:

Reviving a dead thread here with info on the Bilbao wheel and a replica. The Bilbao's are now available in the US - the part number is: 1K0601025BE16Z. They are expensive and only available in 18".

There is a replica wheel called the Ermes from WSP Italy that is available in 16" and 17":

http://www.wspitaly.com/en/Wsp-Italy/Volkswagen/Ermes.html

But you have to get them from the UK:

http://www.performancealloys.com/wheel-details.aspx?ID=1763

But importing the replicas is cheaper than buying the Bilbao's.

Or buy A8 reps that look better than the both of them for 450.00
