GTI Ownership Not Exciting

Why are so many comparing apple to oranges? Suggesting a Porsche or an M6 vs. a few GTI mods is off subject! My sig shows my mods and my GTI is nothing like the stock model and it kicks ass for its total cost.
Also, if you don't find your GTI exhilarating (yes, it is a sports car!), it's either because you use the wrong car for your fun or because you aren't pushing it hard enough. The GTI wasn't made to push a 0 to 60 or a 3rd gear rolling start on the freeway. That's so called muscle car territory. But get off the straight roads and start pushing your (modded) GTI in tight turns...that's when it comes alive.

If you buy anything with more power than a BRZ that isn't FWD, you're going to be even more disappointed.
It's really hard to find a car that feels like it's exhilarating on public roads.
I second the Fiesta ST recommendation. It feels like a hero when you're going 65 and weaving in and out of lanes.
