I'm coming up to the mileage for a DSG service. The dealer quoted me $380. I plan to check with a couple of respected VW shops here in town & get their cost.

Check ebay and you can get oil and filter for under $90. I use the same $7 amazon funnel tho works amazing. Very easy to do

DIY and save the hassle. It's not as hard you think unless...
1. you don't have a place to work on it
2. you don't have tools
3. you don't know how to use a socket wrench

+1 I paid about $350 at the dealer and if your vehicle is still under warranty I would have the dealer do it. If they are quoting you $400-$600 for DSG service, then you need to shop other dealers thats crazy.

Agreed I did mine myself and saved a ton of money and at least I know I did it better than those dealer monkeys who work at 100mph.

Ready to race!
Do it yourself. Remove the intake, battery. Remove the filter housing, buy a funnel with a hose. Hang it and pour it in... it's not hard. Just a slow oil change...

Our dealer charges $279.95+ tax. That's paying the tech 1.5 hr.
