DSG to get 24/32 for gas mileage?

So I was looking at the updated vw website and it said that the dsg gets 24/32 for gas mileage. Is this a typo or is it real? If so, how did vw do it?

says the same thing on the spec sheets at the dealers. so its true

They're reporting 1 mpg higher on the TDI as well with DSG. More efficient shifting and, if left in "D", it will upshift as quickly as possible. If you follow the upshift light for the manual, it'll try and goad you to 6th gear at 42-43 mph. One of many reasons no DSG for me! :laugh:
