Euro to Stock Tail Lights without Coding

Quick question.
I am reverting my MK6 GTI back to stock tail lights from the euro ones. Only problem is I may not be able to get VCDS tonight when I do them.

Can I swap them and code later? Will the tail lights still work? I am assuming a light will turn on my dash until I code them.

the stock tail lights will be extremely dim until you code them. You may also have a dash error light.

Just an update, when you throw your stock lights in and don't code them your out side tails are dim but your inside ones (on the hatch) are approximately the same brightness as stock.

I wouldn't suggest driving around without coding though.
