I have the whine with the intake, and I want to know if I can just get a new diverter valve and it will fix it or do I need to get the relocation kit

I had the same problem, I swapped over to a Rev D and the whistle lessened but is still present. I will be doing a DV+ next which should solve it.

You should probably move this to the GTI engine forum, you might get more answers. This is the golf R section.

But for what its worth, I have a cts intake and a dv+ and i don't have any whistle at all.

I have the "c" diverter valve and it sounds like a duck getting squeezed at full throttle with the CTS intake. I hope the gfb dv+ is a cure and not another issue on top of the problem.

As soon as I installed this intake I had that stupid pig squeal then upgraded to a type D diverter valve with a GFB+ and have yet to hear a squeal in 1k Miles

I couldnt stand that noise
