GTI ballast/ignitor location

Hey guys on my 2010 GTI with xenon headlights my passenger side bulb went out. Ordered a new bulb put it on and it's still out. I read that it's not common but it could be the ballast/ignitor. Does anyone know where it's located I want to swap it from side to side too see if that's my problem. I took a look and couldn't find it

The igniter is the square block attached to the D1S bulb, the ballast is the silver metal part under the headlight and the AFS slave is the black plastic part under the headlight, first check your fuses as the headlights have a different fuse for each side, also yes do swap over the ballast from side to side to check function!

ahhh, makes sense why i only find bulbs when i search for ignitor only. i checked the fuses they're all good as well. i still get a bulb out error which is a good sign and means the headlight is communicating so hopefully after i change the ballast i can have some light again.
