Tow Hook Advice

Besides the price, what is the difference between the $25 tow hooks I see on Amazon and the $100 ones I see on places like ECS Tuning? I ask because I see that some tracks recommend and/or require them. If I get one for functionality and not just for show, is it worth spending more for a steel hook over an aluminum one? What about the one that came with the car? Is the practice to use the OEM hook in the back and get another one for the front? I do like the idea of mounting a GoPro to the front hook like you can with the Rennline but then you're up to $159. Any suggestions?

I talked with a corner worker at my last track day. He said he would not hook up to one of those cheap aluminum tow rings. Too big of a chance it will fail & fly through the air.

Like who128 said buy an oem one. Or spend big for a Rennline.

Done. I can think of better ways to spend the rest of the money I saved. Thanks!
