Sammi's A3 "Build .... Thread ? "

Hey Guys,

Well as some of you recall my introductory thread about 2 months ago I have decided to now make a "Build thread" which I call Comes together because I'm not really building my motor or anything like that.

Like I said in my introductory thread and posted pics, this is not my first car i put together and been in the "DUB/Audi" scene for a long time now, 9 years or so. I have had monster 1.8T Big Turbo before and K04 GTI when K04-001 was the big thing and cost about 2,500 for a mere 250whp LOL.

Well the past few weeks I have been ordering things and parts and enjoying myself and treating myself to some mods. So this thread is to show some of the mods I have received and will in future order and this will continue with my cars life.

The plan with this car is to go APRK04 and stop there engine wise, maybe try to make a extremely powerful K04 setup that makes 360WHP ... that's the plan we'll see though.

2009 Audi A3 FWD DSG

Its got the Panoramic Roof, Black on Grey/tan (light Grey interior), Convenience Package, cold Weather Package, Bose Premium sound.

I really love the car.

Mods that just came in:





1. 2011 OEM RNS-E Navi with LED screen and MMI:

Going to install it tonight. its nice and warm here in Toronto today ... 11 degrees Celsius ... coincidence, I think not.




2. Road Rally Sport Front Plate Mount


I have the OEM plate cover/delete so this is great to keep a clean look.




3. Carbonio Stage 2 intake pipe, thanks Redline Speed Worx








4.Gauge Pods:


I wasnt sure which one so I got both ... one at a STEAL Price ... so im gonna sell the one I dont want, probably gonna go with the Vent POD.

5.Gauges ... or should I say Gauge !!

thanks to Podi for the great service, and great product.
PODI VEI digital setup with Boost uptop and Wideband A/F at bottom and to get the true readings I got the Innovative tunning LC-1 controller with the gauge for PODI.







6.BSH TSI Throttle Pipe

I'm going to run this pipe with my W/M Kit and my Active Autowerke BOV will be mounted where the Noise pipe goes, already bought the hardware waiting on BOV now ...





7.Snow Performance Stage 2 WaterMeth Kit

Big thanks goes to Andrew from Redline Motorworks ... He's local and AMAZING TO DEAL WITH, got a deal from him on the BSH pipe and W/m Kit.

I Also got myself the 2.5 Gallon tank and upgraded solenoid cause I wanna mount the tank in the trunk.









So I will start installing these parts this weekend and next week as I have time, work and travel takes up most of my time. These are probably all the mods i'm gonna do untill spring, I leave for the Middle-East, Dubai, Iraq, Jordan, etc. for work and I will be gone end of January till May so K04 probably wont happen till then.

I will also keep the thread updated and maybe even make a DIY for few the items I install.

Thanks, umm I'm not sure if the Lambo uses RNS-E ... navi, i'll look it up and update lol.

EDIT: Yes its the same unit, there are though software differences which can be put on the Audi version

I Don't Have mine installed, my cousin does though and he loves it said it was a great difference with power, also cools down the air temp.

I bought mine from the vendor here Redline Motorworks which btw is a local dude for us and he can hook up a great deal, check it out $325 for stage II ...

This Project is NOT DEAD so let's bring this thread back to life shall we.

Ok folks well I went away in December to the Middle - East where I was living, till End of May. During my time away I kept thinking about what to do to the car and rims etc.

Before I went away I did install some parts that I had purchase Earlier however, the water/meth and gauge were recently installed.

some extra mods have been purchased:

1. Porsche Boxster BBK (stop tech soltted rotors F/R, Hawk pads all around, Boxster Calipers front, Apikol Adapters Thnx to JHM)
2. OEM Card Tray/drawer
3. Aluminium pedals + dead pedal
4. Yellow Laminx Fog covers
5. R8 Oil Cap & Coolant Cap
6. OEM Piston DV







Oh before I forget the car is getting a Stud conversion, gold plated lug nuts and these wheels:

Work VS-XX, specs:

5 x 112 18x9.5/8.5 et32 3"lip rear, 2.5" front

I'm gonna see how the stance on the car is I my be doing two things:

make it 3" front and 3.5" rear is first and possibly Air Ride the car.

I'm also entertaining the thought of Vinyl Rapping the car Matte Grey (MB AMG color).

Parts will begin to go on the car today.

I've been looking for a dual gauge like that for boost/exhaust temp for my father's TDI forever.

VEI systems dual, top is boost, bottom wideband a/f ... using a LC 1 module for A/F reading
