Thanks EJ. Just turned 60 and still drive both cars like they were designed to be. In my opinion when it comes to the STI and the new Type R they both have some good performance features but unfortunately to many marketing gimmicks inside and out for me. The RS is also a fun car to drive but I wish they would have put more effort into the interior’s quality and layout and less time into features like drift mode. Now with a few years under my belt, the GTI was the best fit for me. You can keep the “boiiii” racer look - just give me a sleeper looking car that drives like a bat out of hell. Trust me with less than a $1000 the MK7 becomes even more fun to drive and can almost keep up with the SC RSX-S and a K04 MK6.

Hey wow now here we go, I thought the days of the $26k new GTI were long since gone?

Perfect. 6sp, cloth, 2017. $26.5 MSRP.

Get them down to 24 for "year end clearance" and you get a lot of car for the moneys.

You can get them down more than that. My friend got his dsg base for 22.4 last year.

Just had Whataburger for lunch! Was trying to see if it's better than In N Out but they're really two totally different places so I choose both. What is Rudy's?

Gti seems to be perfect small fun car that isn't age related. Seen every type driving them. As long as they aren't bagged, most look pretty good.

Would rather go carless. I won't own a boring car, life is too short.
I would pick up a 2nd gen clean Forester XT in a heartbeat. Some light engine mods, tuning, and cosmetic and you have a pretty bad ass little wagon.

In n out is garbage. Rudys is barbecue. Usually at a gas station. Get a pound of the moist brisket and go to town.
