*.* Scirocco R Build! (Fun, Tough & Cost) *.*

Swapped the forged engine with the GTX2867R to the Rocco with most of modified items and the rest will be done later with the EFR installation.

Sorry for the dirty looking but it will have a shower this weekend, I will post a clean one later



I have some sort of items pending waiting to be installed with the EFR kit.

Quick update; ordered new APR HPFP from USP and will be shipped to a friend of mine in USA and he will bring it to me by end of next week.

Also, installed the oil pressure gauge in my Rocco and will test it tomorrow, will see/share the numbers



Based on the below article -which I donít understand from it anything- I will share the numbers and you can help

Oil Pressure 60PSI on idle in the morning when the car is just started;




Oil Pressure 20PSI on idle after driving the car -normal driving- for 45mins;



Any ideas?

I checked the oil pressure today at 2000rpm with oil temperature at 80c and below the results;



I guess this is very good by book!
And the error I had has been disappeared after I did the basic settings and tighten it well.

Did you just build your engine? My engine, with 113k miles on it idled at 18-19 psi hot and 50 psi cruising. Remember anything below ~2500 rpm is controlled by the natural pump pressure. The electronic valve doesnít do anything till above that rpm from what I remember.

My engine just built from 2000-3000kilos almost.
Based on the document that I shared above, supposed to read the pressure @ 2000RPM with 80C and that what I did.
I donít know about the above 2500RPM numbers.

What weíre the ring gap specs? Might just be a little tight since itís breaking in.
