UPDATE: This battery will not turn over in negative temps. Needs to be jumped. It does start up with the jump starter. Link to the jump starter I use, but I'm sure they are all the same:

I will also confirm that this battery does not like the single digit temps.

It has been in the 0-10 degree range for about a week now and on Saturday it failed to start. I had to jump it and it started right up. This is my 2nd winter with it now but last winter I don't think it ever got this cold for this long.

After jumping it once and letting it run for 15/20 minutes it was fine; didn't need to jump it again. Although this morning (Tuesday) it almost didn't start again.

Did you try turning your headlights on for a minute before starting the car? Apparently, that will warm up the battery and improve its cranking power.

I have done this, but it seems to only work in the low teens and above.

Good to know, thanks.

It’s been minus 25 here for the past ten days: lithium car battery officially scratched off my list of wants.

Yea unless you want to switch batteries between seasons, although I'm not sure it would pay off where you are. I'm going to look into a battery warmer at least for the garage.

Hmm... I did not know of the headlight trick! I'll try it from now on lol, can't hurt.

weird though, my car only struggled 1 day and I think it was because of the mixture of it being 10 degrees or colder and it sitting in the driveway for about 2 days while I was on vacation.

We don't get a lot of days that are this cold so I am ok with dealing with this but Canada is a different story! I was just talking to a co-worker and she said it was up to -40 degrees a couple days ago in Calgary! Thats crazy; I think I would turn into an icicle if i ventured outside in that weather.

I switch between seasons and for track days. Too easy and too valuable for 25lbs off

Ive got a deka 16xl battery or whatever it is; think its close to 15-20lbs but so far in 0-ish degree weather its starting up fine. A little slow but that could just be the oil lol
