Cabriolet convertible version?! Spyshots or Chops anyone?

Kinda cool to read that there will be a convertible version (tho I'd never buy one) but my gf would love one.

Anyone got any spyshots or care to do a photochop of one?

Although like others said, as long as the Eos is around I can't imagine them doing a cabrio Golf too.

^ Just a rendering.

I think the deal is that the Eos wasn't selling well as a standalone model, though it was obviously based on the same platform as the MK5. Because it was differentiated with a different name, however, it likely lost sales.

Consider that the convertible Beetle exists as a somewhat comparable option as well.

If VW is going to try to revive sales of a "Golf-based convertible", they'll probably be better off getting rid of the Eos name, and naming the next version a Golf Cabrio.

Maybe they'll even send it off to Karmann for the conversions again like before.

Maybe they'll give it a center roll bar too. Just for old times sake.

That does look great, but a FWD convertible does not sound appealing. Convertibles need to be RWD like the MX-5.
