MK6 has arrived to Iceland

I just got a confirmation that the Golf MK6 will be test driven by car magazine journalists in Iceland in the end of August. There are rumors that the reason for the car will be test driven here is because Iceland has been in a leading role in using renewable energy such as hydrogen and methane gas and those solutions will be offered in the new MK6. It is also likely that it will officially be shown to the public in Paris in October.

So these pictures are real (taken here in Iceland)

That car has a WOB license plate which indicates it is in Wolfsburg Germany.

And it's not the end of August yet, so your dates are off.

I'm not saying it won't be driven in Iceland at some point. Just that it probably hasn't been yet, and that those press release photos weren't taken there.

Wheels look similar to the a8 wheels everyone likes. I personally think both are ugly.

Hello,

The MK6 has NOT been here in Iceland yet but a MK5 whit a MK6 interion has been her and that is the car that the photos are of (MK6 body photoshopt in afterwards).... That is 100% corect becuse i saw the car at my work, VW Iceland (Hekla). and the photos are from iceland, a place called Blalni and Perlan.

And ther will be a premer for the press here in iceland of the MK6 in week 30 somthing (think it is 36) of this year.

Ps. so its not unlikely that jurnalists from all around will be testdriving the MK6 here in Iceland in end og Agust or begining of september

I like the paint color of the car pictured.

Anyone know what it's called and can confirm it as a factory color?

What other colors are available?

Icelandic press releas:
Quote:

From 8. til 26. September the MK6 will be premired here in iceland.
Ther will over 1500 reporters from more then 50 contrys come here to see it and test it.
Over 200 cars will be inported to iceland for this. 100 Golf mk6 along whit about 40 VW Pheaton, VW Touareg, VW Passat R36 and other VW cars.

6 truks ariving to iceland whit VW cars and more to come:
