How do you make the time show on the RCD 510?

Hey guys...i just bought a 11' GTi adidas...and i can only see the time on the MFD, i would love if someone could tell me if you can get it up on the big centre console screen.

ok, thanks man, its just when i have my family in the car with me, they always ask what the time is and its just much easier if it were on the centre console so everyone could see it, but thanks again

It's got the touchscreen, the RCD-510.

The setting is in the "SETUP" menu - "Show time on screen" or something like that. Poke around in the Setup menu.

I don't have a copy of the Adidas GTI brochure with me right now but if I remember right, it probably gets a RCD510 touchscreen radio. If that's the case, the time can be activated by going into the radio's SYSTEM SET-UP or DISPLAY SET-UP menu (I don't remember but I can check later). I do not want time to show on it when the radio is off to extend the life of the LCD backlight.

really? ive never seen the
show time on screen button before, ill have a look later

The adidas is exactly the same as the normal GTI, just a few optional extras built in and cosmetic changes, functionality is the same

Wow, OZ gets the Adidas version?! As usual, VW feels NA doesn't deserve a GTI in a track suit.

haha, yes we do have the adidas edition here :) i think OZ only got about 200, maybe even less. I wanted one with a sunroof, but out of australias biggest VW dealer (which i bought mine from), the batch they got only had 1...1 red one with a sunroof...out of..say 10-15 adidas's..only 1 had roof...DAMN

rcd 510 will display the time. It is an option under the setup menu. It only displays when it is off though.
