The 4 door US version has them painted currently... I'm sure the euro version is always a little different. I would hope that if the GTI has them they are painted the body color, otherwise i'll be purchasing a black GTI.

Those side rubstrips really bug me on the current Golf and GTI so seeing the pics of the new Golf without them made me pretty happy.

I hate them aswell... and i tried taking them off one of my old cars and there have tunnels in the side of my car now :s... that sucked... hope that the top of the line modles don't have them.. thats what they did in aus with some of the holden cars...

of course, here in Croatia we have Golf MKII with MKIV .:R32 engine.. it's amazing...

with the fogs and the lower grille looking like one piece makes it look fat... I'd prefer the fogs seperated like the old one
