Realistic Price on 2DR Golf R Fully Loaded

Going to place my order within the next week.

Can someone who has bought a U.S. spec Golf R tell me an average of what I should pay.

Car will be RB 2DR fully loaded with navi.

Thanks wish me luck.

Dealerships in my area aren't willing to go below MSRP yet.

Yep, get ready to pay sticker or even sticker+. It's too hot a seller to be to negotiate a lower price. Hopefully you'll have a good trade-in and an excellent credit score.

So would $36209 as stated on Edmunds True Value Price be a good price to shoot for.

Thanks

Try buying from an area with a slower, less urban economy. I talked to one dealer some distance away who was willing to go under MSRP, but had just sold the one I wanted.

Well got my first quote from dallasvw.com

They said they can get me a 4DR RB loaded Golf R for $39K does that sound about right it seems a little high to me what are people paying for their cars.

Not many dealers have R's just sitting, and if they do they are asking over MSRP. Just purchased a loaded RB 2DR and they want close to $2K over MSRP. I was about to walk and they came down to MSRP which was about $36K. These cars will be demand MSRP for a long time since demand far exceeds supply. Not like the 2008 R32 which you cold get below invoice.

Had mine for close to week, and after owing a 2008 R32 I love this car. Good Luck

My closest dealer has one for $35k without a sunroof. Don't get me wrong, but I'll let the "gotta be the first to have it now with my Ipad 8 G" types pay for the depreciation. In two years that same car w/ a C.P.O warranty will sell for $26K or less. I've seen plenty of C.P.O '08 R32's go for well under $24k. Then again, we have the pick of the litter in S. Florida with all of our aspirational wannabe rich people's lease trade in's/re-possessions.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't $35K get you into entry level 3 Series territory these days (0-60 in under 6 sec w/ 36 mpg)?

It's 36 mpg going a constant 65 on a freeway with no traffic or wind. You'd probably be lucky to get mid 20's mixed for real world driving.
