Add Songs to Hard Drive

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone can tell me how to add songs to the hard drive on the RNS-510?

I used an SD card and just selected copy music on the Extras tab. I think when I first got the car, I also did it with an MP3 CD, but cannot recall.

IIRC you can upload from an SD card, Ipod or direct from cd. You just can't upload from an mp3 player.

After plugging in/loading your media source, just go to extras and follow the menu from there.

**if using an SD card, be sure to format it before loading your music on it as some have had problems loading from an SD card, I have not, but I also make sure to format my cards prior to use.**

that's what I was told by my sales guy, hence the Ipod cable. I personally haven't tried this as I don't have an Ipod, I'm anti-mac :D, but does suck that a real MP3 player won't work the same way. :confused:

The ipod cable is so you can listen to your music directly from the player. Unless I missed something when using mine, you cannot import songs to the cars hard drive from an ipod/iphone

you can copy music from an sd card onto the hdd just follow these steps...

click on the box to the right of the song.

select copy.

pick a folder to put music in.

then select drop file/folder here.

and booyah its done.
