Here's my Thule set up with Rocky Mount trays... I know I'm definitely not low at all (stock height) but plan on lowering it a bit next summer, probably on H & R sports.

Here's mine with whispbar rack and lowered on H&R Supersports. Took the bike mounts off because I haven't been riding much.

I want a luggage basket for the rack, but they don't make the VW classic rack anymore. So, if anyone has one up for sale...give me a shout!

Make sure you have some clear bra paint protection under those feet. I had the whispbars on my car for about a year and you wouldn't believe how much gook came out from under them.

Did your Yakima fairing make much of a difference? I mounted the Thule fairing on my Votex rack, and it made a difference, but certainly didn't make it as quiet as without the rack.

It did quiet it down a bit but didn't do too much for my MPGs

I really like the votex rack, I would like the Thule Alot too if the fairing was more like the yak's and if the bars didn't stick out
