Good news! Fluidampr is coming out with a pulley to reduce the clattering that is transferred to the SMF. I will be a tester for the prototype coming out soon. Thanks to Issam at INA engineering he's the one hooking me up ;)

How will a pulley help? Got any pics, cause I'm confused. Second, I actually like the noise, but if I was to get this pulley, would I have to take my clutch back out (pics would help, cause theres a couple pulleys that we have...)

It's a crank pulley that absords all vibration. The reason why SMF are so noisy, there is nothing to absorb the vibration caused by the crankshaft. An no, you don't have to remove the clutch, this pulley is on the passenger side.

Here are the benefits:

This Fluidampr controls the harmonics through all RPM ranges of your engine. The precision machined and balanced internal inertia ring inside the precision machined and balanced housing is constantly shearing through the silicone tuning to the harmonic frequency bandwidths that your engine is producing real time. Rubber (elastomeric) dampers are only tuned for a specific narrow bandwidth of harmonics and they cannot tune up or down to what your engine is producing. They also wear out and have to be rebuilt or re-tuned frequently. Our Fluidampr products never wear out or have to be re-tuned, as they are constantly balancing the engine to max efficiency via the internal inertia ring. Fluidampr also helps to calm down the chatter associated with double disc clutches.

The USP Motorsports engine damper carries the following benefits:

***Decreased engine vibration. No more flywheels, crank trigger wheels, or timing gears falling off of the crankshaft. This was unavoidable when revving past 8000rpm in the past.

***Decreased "Clutch/Gear Box Chatter" which is caused by lightweight single mass flywheels.

***Reduction in rpm drops when shifting in a competitive environment.

***Gains of 3-10whp and 5-13ft/lbs. of torque depending on your current setup.

***An overall more efficient and reliable engine.

Nice, and my clutch is now slipping in 5-6th....so this may come in handy. I'll contact Issam and see if they need any more testers haha

Clutch started slipping huh? Give him a shout I'm sure he won't say no to another tester. BTW, we still need to meet, I want to hear that DP, and at the same time you can try my clutch ;)

They currently have the drawings for it. It should be coming out soon.

Thanks for the info man! Greatly appreciated. Just 1 other question, in that description it said the flywheel or something else will come over after revving past 8k. Who the eff revs past 8k in these cars?! They aren't Hondas lol.

Yeah it is unfortunately....tracking season is now over :(
Yeah we do need to meet up soon :p I want to hear that magnaflow CB

I am indeed. Stage 2 for around 12000kms with a bunch of track time.

I guess that's a generic description, not necesseraly for our cars ;)
