A required vehicle update will become active on 102,648 total vehicles TOMORROW 11/9/11.

-Problem description: Customer states while breaking and down shifting in Tiptronic mode the transmission does not respond accordingly. Customer states while accelerating from a rolling stop, the transmission does not respond accordingly.

- Repair solution: Update mechatronics unit with the latest software.

A RVU is a required vehicle update, IT IS NOT A RECALL. It's not safety related so you will not get a notice in the mail. When you bring your car in and they run your VIN number through elsaweb it will show it open.

Is this seperate from ECU software? Will it override a tune per say?

Not quite sure about what it actually does... the terminology is quite vague.

Does this help with the "false" neutrals?

As well as the weird feeling when you decelerate and the transmissions shifts making braking non linear?
