Maybe they were just used to seeing you come in your Mustang, didn't realize you switched cars, and made an assumption that your sister got a car?

I bet if you came inside their daughter, they'd never forget who drove that car.

she doesn't live in Washington, does she? There's a middle aged woman in my area that drives a Fahrenheit.

I've seen two middle aged women driving GTI's around town, and so far, only one dude.

There are 3 other CW MK6 GTIs within 2 miles of me that I run into all the time, and all 3 are driven by girls in their 20s, all three are bone stock 4 doors. Call me shallow or whatever, but when I run into one of them, I reaaalllyy regret getting CW (should've got black!).

I think there are a LOT more women that own GTI's than what we'd think, because I think they are FAR less likely to post in forums, go to meets, and obsess on their car like we do. Yes, some do, and that's awesome, but I don't think most do. I saw an article on the GTI on a 10 best list and it said that women drivers accounted for over 50% of GTI ownership. I don't know where they got that, or if it's even accurate, but it was interesting none the less.

1 of 6 MKVI's at my work is female-driven. I bet that's about average here in South FL - < 20%.

I always get compliments on my GTI. In fact i was pumping gas the other day and a 20 some year old pulled next to me and asked me what kind of car it is, Then proceeded to tell me its sexy lol. But as far as seeing any girls driving GTI's i would say its rare around my area.
