Just got keyed- want spy cameras installed!

Some POS just keyed my driver side door. I'm sick and tired of this shit. I need to see who is fucking with my car. All I want is to catch just one of these assholes. I've been looking up some hidden cameras. Came across this camera
http://www.brickhousesecurity.com/portable-camera.html

Does anyone know where I can get a multi camera setup which runs on rechargeable batteries? Something with an SD card DVR.

Good reachargable and outdoor cant be used in them same sentance when talking about home security.

Buy a dummy camera for 25$ mount t,it in plane view and hope for the best or invest in a pellet gun.

Don't buy a dummy mount, you create something call "expect of security." If something happens in front of it and its fake, you can be held liable for it not being a real camera.

Whats your budget? I will get you something decent pulled together.

check these out, may not be discreet, but you can set them up on a wireless network, and watch the video on your smartphone or computer.

Shit man, sorry to hear that. Maybe instead of a video camera, look for a motion activated camera? That way you don't have to worry as much about battery life. Just make sure you get something that takes good pictures in low light - in case it happens at night.

What you need is ...

Mobile Watchman!

http://www.mobilewatchman.com/
http://www.mobilewatchman.com/Event-...ypage.tpl.html

"Our EDR has been specifically designed to capture short relevant events in & around your vehicle and operates as a car camera security system. The recommended system includes 4 small B/W car cameras, 1 microphone, the necessary external motion detector, and a SanDisk 2 Gigabyte SD card. "

There's also an entire section on eye spy pro called "Car Vandalism Surveillance Camera":

Where do you park in relation to your home? Do you need something portable?

Sometimes downstairs, sometimes a few blocks away. I would like something that stays in the car which I can take the sd card and batteries home to recharge. Or if possible have it take power from the car battery.

Yea, motion activated is what I'm looking for.

Upon second glance, this time in sunlight, it appears that the SOB keyed almost the entire length of my car. The rear has a light scratch but you can tell it was one motion. I would honestly pay $1000 to know who did it. I've replayed it in my head so many times. Scenarios like bashing his head on the sidewalk, carving a scratch along his whole body so it scars. Makes me a bit happier when I dream of these scenarios. I feel like I can catch this person by installing cameras and writing something provoking on my car while I park in the same spot. I have never been keyed in my whole life. I should have gotten a darker color gti.

Do you have a police report? If they've done this more than once maybe the detective can figure out who's doing it.

Just make sure you don't secretly record any audio.. otherwise things get sketchy with federal wiretapping laws, rendering your "security video" technically illegal and inadmissible as evidence if you actually catch the perp

Lol like I would ever turn them in. I'm more of an eye for an eye type of person. I wish I knew what car they drove.

Lol, well believe me i know the frustration, but usually that only leads to more problems for you.

Although not as immediate, it can also be pretty satisfying watching them get arrested and then sticking them with the repair bill through court.

That would make me very happy as well. But the reality is I most likely will never catch this loser. Hopefully karma will catch up with him.
