REV D is the revision "D" piston diverter valve used to control our boost and prevent compressor surge in loaded off-throttle situations.

CBE stands for catback exhaust.

And second, Grambles, THANK YOU for taking the time on this most-valuable post. Anything, for me, that summarizes a huge body of research/knowledge into a nice, tight, well-distilled format is a huge time saver and really beneficial.

I third this lol not new to the vw scene but new to the mk6 2.0 tsi motor had a 01 gti and a 03 r32 both built to the hilt r32 w/378whp this thread is some what helpful on trying to figure out where you wanna start and end but then its like we're all gonna tell you to each his own!! in the end you will be the one driving the car so dont let others make your decisions for you/your driving it not them and only you know what end result your looking for!!!!!

This thread rocks. Growing up without a dad I never had proper insight on cars, Grambles... there's an open position.. j.k j.k

But seriously it's nice to see things listed well organized and in a way I can break it down. Well done!

Thanks for the post - a boatload of really helpful information here.

So, after reading through this and poking around the vendor sites and whatever else I can find, I think I have a sense of direction.

I'm looking to spend less than $1,500 on my new GTI DSG and would like better power, improved throttle response, and a slight / civilized improvement in sound.

Already bought the S2T DSG paddles, so those don't count.

Anyone want to talk me out of this combination:

APR stage 1 ECU flash
Carbonio stage 1 intake
AWE cat back exhaust

And maybe if I want to put in more later, would think about an S3 intercooler.

Any big mistakes here or other suggestions with my goals in mind?

This is a daily driver - if that matters.

Thanks in advance.

Ok, trying to wrap my head around CBE/TBE. Does CBE actually provide worthy perfomance or just gnarly sounds? I've read the modify thread, exhaust thread.. just can't seem to get an idea. Also, I'm having trouble identifying compatibility. I'm see that Vangaurd cat back for 499 + shipping ... sounds like hell of a deal. Though I WANT to get APR DP eventually.. (and most likely stage 2...).. APR site says their exhaust is 3" and the Vanguard is 2.5"... Compatible? .. Usually I wait a while, read more shit and learn myself.. buttt that deal don't be around too much longer.. Thanks for the help.

After more poking around - seems like the intake from Modshack might be closer to what I'm looking for with respect to sound. I read posts that make the Carbonio sound a little loud.

Anybody with this particular combination - APR Stage 1, ModShack intake, AWE CBE - want to chime in? And sorry in advance if adding to the sticky thread is the wrong thing to do...not sure about that etiquette.

Hi guys...I am new here....I have a Golf 6 Gti, i have 19" Helios wheels on it but i want to lower the car using 5K4071677B (as your guys call it Driver Gear Spring)....

Will I have any issues? I have back orded the springs from the agents and they said they will install them for me.....

Thanks
