Purchased my 2012 VW GTI 4 door with navigation and sunroof in Carbon Steel Gray on 8/7/12.

This is not my first VW or turbo engine. I use to own a 2005 VW GLI in Blue Lagoon (she was the special edition with BBS wheels and all)...I still miss her to this day but I sold her back in April 2008.

My plan is to do subtle mods so I'm definitely not going for that slammed look because it's my daily drive (even though I love that look).

Cosmetic Mods:
Suntek Carbon 35% tint
my custom engine cover
OEM painted lower front lip
Red trim in lower front grill
Lamin X Optic Blue fog covers
Lamin x charcoal side reflectors
Lamin X smoked 3rd brake light & rear reflectors
Interlagos plaid steering wheel logo insert
GTI badge seat lever insert
GTI Monster mats
Interlagos rear license plate frame
Interlagos rear badge insert
DEPO R LED Black Cherry tail lights
PIAA Xtreme H8 fogs

Sound System Mods:
Alpine SPS-610C front components
Alpine Type R sub in sealed box w/ Alpine MRP-M500 amp

Performance/Engine Mods:
Neuspeed P-Flo red intake
Borla catback exhaust

Suspension & Wheels Mods:
DG Springs
stock wheels again

Window tint 50-35%

Just got the 50 front & 35 rear window tint done today...I'd prefer 35% all around but it the VA law here & our cops are so anal about window tint.

Here's a pic with the tint.

Last pic is of the stock LED DRLs that come on 2012+ GTI that have the Bi-Xenon headlights. I love these...I feel like I'm driving an Audi with these LED DRLs.

Bazooka Tube Installed

Got my Bazooka 10" 100watt subwoofer installed today. This thing really kicks for this size car. I have it surrounded by the cargo connector things (don't know that proper name for them) to keep it from moving around...I didn't want to drill the straps into the floor mat.

Removed Bazooka on 12/8/12 for the Alpine sub & amp.

I know how to do a lot of engine and cosmetic work, but I know I'm out of my league when it comes to electrical work. I took it up to an audio shop for the install. It took them awhile, but they had never installed this type of sub in a GTI with stock navigation so it was a bit of a learning process for them too.

But, it sounds stellar and when I turn the knob up to just 1/4 turn I have the rear window shake with the bass notes. In one word...outstanding! Only cost $300 for the sub, control knob, and install.

Red Moulding Trim Installed

So I got my custom fit car cover & the red moulding trim in the mail this afternoon. So I just had to install the red trim moulding...I got this idea from another forum member's write up. It looks pretty damn sweet and really blends with the red in the upper grill.

Still waiting on the Lamin-X fog & side marker covers and the Klii Interlagos pattern for the rear badge, steering wheel, seat handle inserts, and wheel center caps. I might buy the mirror wrap and have a friend (that's more savvy than me) to install it.

Also, looking for GTI monster mats if anybody's wanting to sell their lightly used ones.

Yes they do including me. I love them! I am running 19" V710s Matte Black on my Candy White.

Dsm1983 doesn't like them because so many people have them. Kinda like a GTI with Detriots. But that is on here. In my neck of the woods of South Florida, I have never seen another set on a GTI...
