I'll hassle over the weekend. I know that they've started some initial research and parts # gathering. I would expect it to take some time since it's unproven and we don't want to be buying parts we can't use

Thanks! I'm not stressing it yet, but if you've already worked with them they may be quicker to respond to you.

I did the old Xolaque BBK front/rear kit. Have the Porsche/Brembo's (Cayenne, I think) and Viper parking calipers. Not the ideal setup according to those stats that guy posted way back when, but night and day to stock in my opinion. Did the whole kit for $2g with new parts, so I can't complain.

Looking forward to hearing how your MC upgrade works out... I've wanted to do it since installing my BBK, just never had time to put in the research/testing.

@mikejsmith1985 did you have custom brackets to mate the rear 4 pot cayenne calipers to the spindle? Also are you running a separate parking caliper for your e-brake?

Also looking forward to hearing HS Tunings answers

Yeah I'm running the same setup as penance. I tracked xolaque down a few months back and got a set. It isn't quite as economical as it used to be. I had to buy new wheels and tires b/c I didn't want to roll my fenders to allow for bigger spacers. I've got nearly $6k in my set up after buying the brackets from xolaque, sourcing hardware, rebuilding the calipers, powder coating them, performance pads, rotors, ss brake lines, and misc tools, in addition to some fabrication for the ebrake cable as the filler neck is in the way on mk6 for the original location on the viper caliper, and the cable goes into the caliper at a 90* bend which is bad anyway. So I recommend an off the shelf system to everyone. I've got a lot of work and $$ in this setup that I'll never recover. The performance is great but as we all know thanks to both Bruce's calculations and real world experience they may stop fine but pedal feel is less than ideal. This MC swap may make these brakes great though. For the $ I spent I think there are better options. I may change my mind though once we get an MC swap in place!

Wow. I have about $1000 into my TT-RS set up so far. ~$2300 if we count new wheels and tires though. Roughly running down the list in my head:
$555 - calipers, used rotors/pads, carriers, all hardware and shipping costs
~$140 - new Hawk HPS front pads
??? - Rebuild kit from Brembo
$100 - powder coating a custom red shade to match the shade of rear calipers
$100 - full set of TT-RS 034 braided stainless brake lines (front and rear, can only use front on a GTI with this set up)
$100 - 5mm H&R spacers in front
~$900 - new wheels + shipping
~$600 - new tires + shipping
~$100 - brake line brackets for TTRS
??? - new brake fluid also - used Motul 660

The economics of it still make sense to me. OE TT-RS rotors are awesome, and only cost around $300 for a new set. They're readily available and you know that we can still get them even in a few years. The VWR kit costs about $3200-3600 just for the parts, and replacement rotors are something like $300 each and have to come from the UK. In the long term, the TTRS set up is better for a weekend warrior like myself because the rotors are cheaper to replace, the pads are easy to source, and the parts are all readily available.

The parts to test master cylinder swap are in and we'll be test fitting / installing this evening. Will have to get a detailed list, etc. as we go into it as I'm at my dayjob and I don't remember part #s like some people do
