Ready to race!
Hi All
Wanted to share some exciting news from the latest official drag race here in Israel where a GIAC Tuned SEAT Leon 2.0TSI K04 DSG car won first place in the FWD category against much more powerful cars.
Event took place on March 28th-29th and was the 3rd official Drag race here in Israel (Legal scene is new here…)
Event location was at the dead sea (lowest place in the world 423 meters or 1,388 ft below sea level) and ambient temp was 30C+
All major tuning companies that have representation here in Israel attended and papered their customers cars (GIAC, APR, Revo)

We sponsored 4 cars all running GIAC software for Engine and DSG, cars run this software daily with no issues.
3 of our cars competed in the FWD category and 1 in the AWD category.

The FWD category was made up of many different cars, there is no restriction what so ever on mods so we were competing with 600HP cars in the same race.
Just a few examples:

500HP Peugeot 205
500HP Honda civic
Street cars like:
550 WHP Revo stage 4 Leon Cupra (GTX3076 Turbo)

All competed against one another.
We came for the fun of it and it was the first time we participated with no official racing experience and still managed to get the fastest times and take first place on the podium.
Special thanks to GIAC USA for the awesome software that allowed us to take first place in a drag race with our customers daily driven cars.
