Body lines look almost like a miniature SUV to me. The mk7 is actually growing on me a little bit.

Yes, I went on the North American VW site yesterday to see if there was anything on the MK7, and there it was.
I'm getting a little excited about it now.

There's also a video walk around for the Golf and Golf R are from the Detroit Auto Show.
The R looks very nice.

The Golf R does look good, with the exception of the wheels - a bit "busy" for me.

yes, 258torque is us spec, iirc. and yes, they always seem to show the euro pics, nothing new.

I sat in the mkvii gti at the Detroit auto show last week. Definitely feels bigger inside. Great fit and finish. Has lost a bit of the snug cockpit feel but over all it looks great.
