Mein Kampf: Volkswagen Edition...Static to Daily Transformation.

Many of you on this forum may know me or have seen my car before. I am turning to the GOLFMK6 community for encouragement and opinions. I have owned my car for 3 years now and I feel like it is out of its prime. The roads and salt air of NJ has taken a toll on my car. I have had a few problems with my car. Most of them suspension related. The struggle with my car has been a long battle and I don't think I am ever going to win.

-I have debated trading the car in once it is paid off. The car has 42k miles on it with FK coilovers and ECS tuning RSB. I have had this wheel shake from 65 to 85 MPH, making my car on the highway very unenjoyable. I have grown annoyed with this issue and replace many suspension parts including Axles, endings, strut bearings and more. This problem still persist even after may sets of wheels and wheel balancing.

-The clutch in my car is a SPEC racing stage 3. It is very chattery and jerky during take offs. Changing gears from 1st to 2nd can be hard at times (it wont come out or go into gears). The clutch squeals at certain RPMS during take offs. Unsure of what the problem is and wonder if it can ever be resolved. This also makes my daily driving experience dreadful because of the noises and how funky it works. No grinding of the gears.

-Quarter panels are bent into the car due to a previous wheel set up, I am forced to run -3.3 degrees camber because of rubbing issues if camber is pulled to factory.

-Overall I either want to change the suspension, clutch and body work at a costly price...or look for a 6spd Acura ILX or FRS (I know, I know). This is what I was thinking of doing to try and win this battle.

-Koni Yellow Struts/shocks with H&R SS springs. What holds me back is will my 3sdms look good with a little wheel gap.
-OEM clutch reinstall. I am stage two but the car will be in the shop every 35k miles for a clutch.

-Body work for the quarter panels is going to be costly but I will have no negative camber affecting my ride and it wont look funny in the rear.

I am turing to this community for help with my car. My build will be starting soon and I will post pictures on this thread to show progression of my static to daily driver transformation.

I think there was a picture of a cw gti with 3sdms in the CW GTI picture thread, can't recall which ones, but looked to be on springs and the drop slight wheel gap did not look bad at all.

Yeah I may try to raise the front up a bit to do a "mock up'" of what it would look like on springs.

Buy/Borrow a fender roller to massage the fenders back to the correct place. There really isn't a good option for the clutch unless you want to spend another $1000 and buy something quieter.

So with the stock wheels and tires on, the car still shakes on the highway? If the wheels are not bent sounds like you might have a bent axle.

For anyone who doesn't know, Mein Kampf is german for "My Struggle". Also an autobiographical manifesto by Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, in which he outlines his political ideology and future plans for Germany. I've actually read some of it, extremely hard book to read. Mein Kampf with the vocabulary was triumphant .

@ thread title...

Why not bring the car back to stock? That's the best route.

The only ones we've had issues with are the ones that sat for too long as got flat spots on the tires.

Internet sarcasm...ill look past it. My car does not sit for more than a day. It gets daily driven. I feel like there is some underlying problem that keeps being over looked when taken to the shop.
