My MK6 - The full story!

Here´s the story about my 2010 MK6, 2.0TDI Highline (European version)

Engine: 2.0 TDI CR (103KW)
Paint: Deep Black Pearl


It all started when my old car broke down and I needed a new one. While I waited for the car to arrive from the factory I thought out some easy mods for it.

So here it goes...

Brand new from Wolfsburg it arrived last desember.





First mod, two days after registration in January. Bought this OEM R LED-taillights from an e-bay seller before the car arrived.









The adaptors did I make my self, all parts bought at my local VW dealer.

Just after ordering the car, I bougt some lowering springs from Eibach and the VOTEX frontspiler for my front bumper. And a set of VW Helios 19’.
I wast just waiting for spring to arrive to get it on, but....




A hole lot of ours browsing the web...I ended up whit another set of rims shipped from Orlando all the way over tho Norway. I also bougt a set of FK Silverline X suspension from a local dealer.

Then I was happy, I tought...(again)

While waiting for the new rims to arrive, another little mod. Glasplug from gecleant.de












New rims to arrive...Lorinser RS-1 9x19 ET38.









Tires needed...Ended up with Pirelli P Zero Nero 215/35-19









Some more lowering was needed, lowered another 1,5 cm




At this time I considered seriously to buy R front bumper, but then my friend Ole Andreas with the CW GTD (GTD becomes GTR) had som left overs from his build (OEM off-course), therefore I ended up with his old GTD front and rear bumper and GTD side-skirts. From my local VW dealer I bought the OEM GTI/GTD/R rear roof spoiler. The GTD grill is debaged.









To make the front bumper fit, I needed also to get a GTI/GTD window washer tank (do not know the englis word, but you get it...)









The side-skirts, rear and front diffusor was painted in black without metallic.

At this time I started to get happy with the looks, but not the exhaust. Decided to buy OEM GTI exhaust and diffusor.. Painted the diffusor black without metallic.



So here it is today, some small mods to come. And offcourse some new rims for next season...

Awesome, its good to see that the front end conversions isnt that difficult, so other people can also swtich over.

Damn, that looks like what a bunch of people have done to their GTI's, but its a golf! Nice work, seamless conversion and I love the looks of the painted rear diffuser and side skirts. And the wheels look a bit like the old school AMG style rims, very classy. Tires look a bit stretched though.
