College Build GTI

So I haven't really updated or done anything to this thread and I thought about making a new one but figured I would just change this one up. I got the car in june of 2013. When I first got it I knew nothing of cars or the car scene except what I thought looked cool. It came lowered on H&R super sports which are still on it. Within a week of owning the car I started ricing the shit out of it, not because I tried to but I was broke a hell and knew nothing. I riced it out for about 3 months and now realize how bad it looked. I then started changing it and "trying" to make it look un rice and all but now I'm just doing what I feel I should do. I know most of you will say thats not how a euro car should look but I also know every member either has the stock tails or the led tails and no variation, so I figure ill just make the car my way and see how it looks.

Fender roll

Finally got my 5mm spacers installed up front. Big thanks to dubbinit2 who rolled my fenders. He is in the Nashville/ Murfresburo area and does a terrific job!

IMHO lose the rest of the decals/stripe.. Even the euro plate can go, and instead run one single, clean, stylish decal up the passenger side as it seems you like to have a bit of flair in that sense.

Finally took some good photos of the gti. Still need to fix that notch though.

Removed the factory white pin stripes and a few of the stickers.
Also received carbon fiber hatch spoiler. I was not a huge fan of it at first, due to the size being much greater than anticipated, but it has definitely grown on me.

It's looking pretty nice now. I love the rims.

Been a while since I have update. I recently got in a little accident (hit a dog on the highway) so some stuff has been updated. The custom front splitter was lost in the crash as was the carbon fiber front lip(but the lip is currently being replaced). I also purchased a set of raceland ultimos which I know are cheap coilovers but as the title says...im in college. Here is pic post crash and coil over install.

I really do haha. I just need to actually get pictures of my car to post that look somewhat decent. I really neglect this thread as it is.

Here is a little update on the car.

I have maxed my coilovers spun all the way down.

Added camber to make it an even 4* for the rear and 1* for the front

Added a diamond stitch fabric to the trunk

Built a set of AMG Aero ii wheels that come factory 2 piece to make the rears 3 piece and 18x9.75

Made my exhaust to a single exit with a golf tdi rear valence and custom exhaust set up

took off the wretched red stripe I had going down the roof of the car

Finally going to update this thing. Here is a pic of the new wheels.

These were 2 piece AMG Aero ii wheels 18x8.5 that I converted to 3 piece with the help of Dave over at SaveTheWheels.org
