How do I log for valve float?

I haven't been able to get an answer on the 3.1 thread, probably because there's so much going on in that thread. Anybody know? Or what else, aside from a bad tank of gas, could be causing a lot of timing pull? Thanks.

I'm not sure if you can log for valve float exactly. But common issues with it are misfires above 5k rpm, and I think low mass air flow readings. Not positive but I'm sure someone else that knows will chime in.

No reason to log... If you have it you will know. Once you hit around 5500k rpm's the car looses most power and falls on it's face.

I had the float and changed my springs to solve the problem.

I'm diagnosing a similar issue that APR thinks could be valve float. Arin asked for RPM, Boost actual and MAF, 4th gear, 1500 to redline, AC off, ESP off, windows up, turbo mode on vag-com on. I think it is blocks 1,3 and 155 if I remember correctly.
